60 second blog: Positive anticipation

Here’s a simple but powerful 60 second read that will turbo boost your personal success.

The insight:

How you think effects how you anticipate events. How you anticipate events effects your emotions. Your emotions effect your behaviours. Your behaviours directly influence your results.

My question to you:

So my question for you is… Are you imagining things turning out well? Or are you imagining the worst-case scenario?

The principle:

When we learn to ride a bike we’re told ‘be mindful of what you focus on because that’s where you’ll go!’. Aka… don’t stare at the pole or imagine running into it because that’s exactly where you’ll end up! The principle here is to focus where you want to go with positive anticipation!


For using your thoughts to achieve successful outcomes

  1. Anticipation: Focus on the best possible outcome

  2. Emotions: Maximise positive and constructive emotions

  3. Behaviours: Take action that will move you towards the best possible outcome you can imagine

  4. Results: Celebrate your wins! Not only does it feel good, but it will remind your brain that focusing on positive outcomes will help you achieve them!
